    Special interest groups (read: religious groups) abusing book ban laws? You don’t say! I would have never expected that! We all know that religious groups follow their own religious laws to the letthehehehehahahahahahahaaha

        They forget that their freedom to worship also means that we’re free not to

        Of course, they justify it by claiming that they’re “saving” us

    This is as stupid as saying “People don’t attempt to negotiate higher wages, it’s always unions that do it!”

    It’s still wrong, but - sometimes these headlines are wild.

      Disagree.

      72% of demands to censor books were initiated by pressure groups, government entities and elected officials, board members and administrators, reported the American Library Association (ALA).

      These are all roles frequently populated by control freaks. That makes them different from typical parents. I think it’s an important distinction.
