Others did, government corporations by themselves don’t act like monopolies because they do not prioritise money but instead influence and power, you wouldn’t need predatory tactics to keep people using your state owned solutions and a government wouldn’t employ predatory tactics to beat down on competitors, if it truly was meant only for the government then it would have private investment into the field made illegal.
We’d be better off rebuilding it all from scratch with an economic system that actually works for the people this time.
