Have some vegetables. They’re quite good. Fry them up with garlic and salt and they’ll be a lot better than chicken nuggets.

      Mac n cheese has noodles.

      Noodles are made with flour.

      Flour is a plant.

      Plants are vegetables.

Therefore, Mac n cheese is a vegetable.

Food is not a simple equation of higher caloric content = bad. It’s also not about “acting like you’re better” it’s about eating a goddamn vegetable once in a while.

If all you eat is fast food then actually ordering a fast food salad and eating it WILL be better for you than just getting burgers and fries every time, even if it has more calories.

Likewise, making vegetables palatable with a small amount of oil and salt is not the same as deep frying a processed nugget.

Who is shaming those who do? I eat fast food on occasion, I’m just not under any illusion as to what it’s doing to my body. I’m speaking in simple facts, adding a vegetable to your diet will pretty much always be beneficial, and more calories does not always equal bad. You’re basing your diet knowledge on the most basic weight loss theories and they completely ignore actual nutrition.

It’s in part true. Cookig vegetables in general reduce their fibre / nutrients. Thing is… Who cares? is not like you are reducing the benefit by 90% and if the trade-off is not eating them, I see no issues.

You’re only gonna make them lose benefits if you burn them into charcoal. Freezing them does more to damage the nutrition value than frying them.

Frozen veggies typically have the highest nutrional content because they are picked at peak ripeness then frozen, unlike fresh vegetables that are picked before they are ripe so they don’t go bad before getting to the store.

Freezing them literally doesn’t. Frozen vegetables have the same nutritional value as fresh.

I meant fry them in a frying pan with, like, a tablespoon of olive oil, not deep fry them.
