      Honestly

I remember reading on Reddit or something ages ago there was someone who hated showers because they started cold

      Mate, just wait?

Hell I run the hot tap as well just to speed things along, takes 5 seconds instead of 10.

I wish I had one of those recirculators for instant, but it’d probably destroy me in gas bills cause I have a tankless.

You can configure it to run on demand, hit a button and brush your teeth while it wastes zero water filling the hot line with hot

In my shower the water suddenly turns cold for like 10 seconds at a time. Feels like hours when you’re used to the warm water.

Yeah my old apartment had one shared old ass boiler in the basement for the whole building, like 35 units.

I would have to wake up super early for my job, and in the spring/summer when the boiler wasn’t on to heat the radiators, I would often be the one to kick start it by turning my hot water on.

It would take like 10 minutes to heat up so I’d just run the shower on low pressure and get a few more minutes of sleep

My shower head points at the door I need to open / close, so without some finangling if I’m outside it’s off.

As the other commenter said you can wait outside. Also, if you let the water run in the bathroom sink until it’s hot it’ll be just a couple seconds for it to get to the shower.

I could be wrong but I believe this is actually the only moment in Alex Honnald’s career that he had a panic attack.

I think he, on Rogan or some shit said of this picture he had to take a few deep breaths and he couldn’t shake the feeling of “what the fuck am I doing right now?”

This is definitely him, but I don’t think that’s the moment. I think this is just a posed photo for effect.

Also, speaking as a climber, you wouldn’t turn your back to the wall if you were scared, you’d want your hands on the best holds you could find.

I really recall it being the Thank God Ledge, and this is the Thank God Ledge. I also remember him wearing red, but he seems to do that often.

The alien parasite that usually controls his brain faltered for a moment and the normal human inside was like “How the fuck did I get here?? SOMEONE HELP”

Search for Alex Honnald and he’s done TED talks and other interviews talking about it, but most interestingly, i found a 360-degree youtube vid of some of the climb to really get that pucker-up sensation. (You can grab and pan the camera view in all directions)
