Someone should walk up to him outside the courthouse, hit him in the face with their elbow with the shoulder behind it, and then announce that God forgave them for that, too, and tell him they really like this new system and thanks for his support for it.

I mean, God can forgive you if the perp actually repents.

How honest do you think his repentance is?

Also, just like medieval courts, the fact that God can forgive you and let you into heaven doesn’t mean you don’t get executed.

Well your god and his rules apply to heaven, but right now We live on earth and here we… used to have consequences for actions.

I mean we kinda had consequences, sometimes…

“He is found guilty in the court of man, but he is forgiven and acquitted in the court of heaven where our Lord Jesus sits as the judge,” another said.

Perhaps he would like to be extradited?

Jesus didn’t die for that shit.

God can have a turn when we’re done with him.

He kinda explicitly did. To forgive all the sins of humanity by acting as the final sacrifice. At least that’s the point I learned in albeit catholic school.

That said, he shouldn’t be allowed around kids, and he shouldn’t get special treatment from the justice system for being a pastor. He should be treated as any other child sex offender.

Hopefully for him his preaching was focused on kindness to the imprisoned, mercy for those who’ve done wrong, loving rehabilitation, and minimizing harm right? It would be incredibly foolish for a Christian pastor to ignore Jesus’s message about how to treat the criminals while committing the most repulsive crimes.

The number of apologists for him AND the church that tried to hide it in the communities around the area are disgusting.

Yeah? And you have as well I suppose?

Sounds like the entire church needs to be investigated.

No God hasn’t, even if God did, I condemned him to hell so he’s going to hell no matter what.

We are going to have to subpoena God I guess, since She spoke to them and said She forgave this perversion, we will need Her to testify in court.
