For context, Google is trying to prevent alternative stores like fdroid.

They’ve also capitulated to the Trump administration, settling a YouTube lawsuit for millions, and have increasingly make concessions to them.

Fox News reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi requested that Apple remove ICEBlock.

“We reached out to Apple today demanding they remove the ICEBlock app from their App Store — and Apple did so,”

Interesting; no ICEBlock in the international app stores I have access to, either.

I thought most developers knew to publish apps in stores of countries that would have no issues with the content?

And US citizens need to get familiar with having to look outside their own borders to get access to free speech-forward software.

Another reason I’ve never used an Apple phone. Unfortunately, Google is creeping in their direction. Fortunately, there’s finally increasing activity towards making Linux phones actually decent. Unfortunately, it’s still got some way to go to get there.
