The international community is in a tough position here. On one hand, nuclear proliferation is a definite negative, Iran is not a trustworthy actor, and has been attempting to secure nuclear weapons’ capabilities for quite some time.

On the other hand, previous attempts to negotiate a reduction in Iranian nuclear aims have been continuously undercut by the bizarre, hyperaggressive, and duplicitous behavior of the Trump administrations, and Iran would be crazy, at this point, not to be seeking nuclear weapons for its own protection.
