I signed up for a course for, like, social anxiety/social skills, and BY GOD does it feel like an MLM. I know it’s probably actually helpful and well thought out, but they’ve tried to upsell me twice so far and have referred to the power of their “inner circle” and it’s kind of getting on my nerves. I’m not easily affected by dark patterns like these, and it’s so annoying that they’re trying to get me like this.
That definitely sounds like a scam.
Thankfully it isn’t, I’m learning some useful stuff.
That’s great you’re getting something valuable, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t a scam.

Pretty sure every scam promises refunds. That’s not proof that it is a scam, but it’s equally not proof that it isn’t a scam.
They’re charging money for access to the inner circle. I don’t know you or the program, but that one piece of information would be enough for me to doubt everything else. That doesn’t mean they aren’t offering some nuggets of wisdom. Any profitable scam will sprinkle in something valuable, like the single hundred dollar bill on the top of a pack of newspaper cut and wrapped to look like a stack of bills.
Hell, early investors in pyramid schemes and ponzi schemes do very well before everything falls apart.
This some kind of online course? That sounds pretty scammy
Yeah it is. The reviews are good (on reddit), and thankfully it can be refunded so I’ll just see.
