My name’s not Rick.

Sounds like it was the BBC that had omitted the context in the original headline. If anything this highlights how wild it is that Reddit titles still can’t be edited

The article says it was projected to cost half a billion dollars. Not sure why it’s that high, but that’s what it says.
You have a healthy sense of compassion
“Land swallowed by water in under 60 minutes. THIS. IS. NOT. NORMAL,” wrote an account called HustleBitch that frequently posts conspiracy theories on X
Thanks for the, uh, insight there, hustlebitch
It’d be funny watching Microsoft continually step on rakes left right and center if there weren’t so many people’s jobs on the line. It’s pathetic behavior from them
That one I can understand, since the US is normalizing relations with Syria now that they’re in Turkey’s sphere. India I’m not too surprised by either in the context of their fighting with Pakistan. Wondering why Nigeria’s view has improved, though.
They take from the poor in Russia too though. The rich aren’t the ones being fed into the meat grinder in Ukraine.
With his level of tact, probably white water rafting
I use Vinegar on iOS. Has worked great
From what I can tell, without. Looks like they used the Lazard LCOE+ standard metric which doesn’t factor in government subsidies.
IQ tests just measure how good the test taker is at taking an IQ test. As someone that has administered them in a previous career, people put way too much stake in them. Good as a tool for helping to determine if a child needs a more personalized education plan (in conjunction with a lot of other measures, definitely not on its own), bad for use as a dick measure like I often see them paraded around.
It’s pretty funny to me that Russia has managed to piss off both the Azeris and the Armenians. Regardless of how the Ukraine war ends, sheesh, what an Albatross it’s been for Russia.
The Magna Carta didn’t apply to serfs, but that doesn’t make it any less important to the history of political progress. I find the ideas of the founding fathers to be similar. Self serving, but an improvement none the less.
Distrusting the vanguard is counterrevolutionary
The word cuck gets thrown around too much lately but this guy may be king cuck
Crazy how not happy he is all the time which then leads to him doing a lot of stuff that benefits the Russians, such as cutting back weapons to Ukraine.
I mean, it’s pretty standard for newsrooms to report who is making a claim. I read Reuters stories all the time that quote TASS (Russian news agency) without verifying the veracity of the report. I can’t recall a time the reports didn’t say something akin to “Reuters cannot verify the accuracy of the claim at this time”
Def not cool of the BBC to originally bury the source of the claim in the headline though. Thats bad reporting.
