It is so much sweeter and with a unique taste, I don’t like peanut butter because it takes so much sugar to make it sweet but hazelnut is less calorie dense and sweeter, it just feel superior!
too much sugar in peanut butter? at least from where I am, it isn’t really sweet, and, I’m used to put unsalted toasted peanuts in the blender and make my own, without anything else added, and it’s great! I even use it when cooking some meals and they end very tasty
Sweet peanut butter just masks the taste of peanuts.
“Natural” peanut butters generally don’t have sugar added, and taste so much better.
As someone who doesn’t quite care for sweet things, I’ve always been a big fan of unsweetened peanut butter. At least in my area, the Teddie brand is surprisingly affordable compared to the other “specialty” peanut butters with no stabilizers/sugar, it’s just peanuts and salt (and you can get unsalted, too)
It’s also great in savoury sauces. Thai food is where it’s at
That sounds amazing! I wish other nut butters were more readily available where I’m at. At best, you can usually find sunflower and almond… Once I ordered sampler sizes of like 10 different ones from a specialty shop, the macadamia was ludicrously good.
Maybe they didn’t try “kaya” jam yet. 😄
