Hello. Welcome to the Nonbinary community.

While the U.S is having LGBTQ legal issues atm but tbh, compared to Russia atleast technically you’re still legally aloud to be LGBT, while in Russia, it’s more directly banned. For the most part Trump seems to be targeting public funds as a mean to try to enforce guidelines. However it’s not completely banned, ‘yet’.

Meaning you’re still safe in private independent spaces to be what ever gender identity, and etc that you want. So while the U.s might not be a top choice, it’s not the worst choice for minority to live at.

“Yet” is the operative term there. The Texas state legislature recently introduced a bill that would make it a jailable offence to commit “gender identity fraud”.

That is unfortunate. Didn’t know about that one. There needs to be a constitutional test against that one because I feel that legislating ones gender identity in this manner would likely go against ones first amendment. If someone has transitioned physically is it even really fraud at that point? They are trying to pass these types of laws and they are hoping (likely) we don’t respond and challenge them in court before it is too late.
