Voting is great and all, but we literally have the choice between the guy helping fund these atrocities, and the guy trying to destroy democracy.

Just vote third party? That’s just a throw away vote for one party. THIS is the problem with a two-party system.

Unfortunately, there are too many major hurdles to go over (two party system, electoral college, gerrymandering, lobbying, just to name a few) before we even have a chance at something resembling justice, here or abroad.

At least you’re asking the correct questions. Let us know if you find the correct answers. Because I don’t have any. Organize, communicate, stay informed?

All of those issues go away if we switch to ranked choice voting. Literally all of them. One change and we’re free of this horrible corprotocracy/oligarchy.

Which is why it will never happen, sadly. The wealthy will lose all their influence and power in a single change. They’ll “scorched earth” this shit before they let that happen.

The problem is the majority vote system. Only the votes for the winning party in a district actually do something, it doesn’t really matter whether the district is lost 49 against 51 or 0 against 100.
