All Hungarian citizens have until June 20 to vote on whether they are for or against Ukraine joining the EU.

That is a big misrepresentation of what this really is about. This is not a referendum, it’s basically a no-rules no-legal-consequences poll the government is doing.

FWIW the opposition who at this point has more support than the government party did the same, and their results show 60%+ for Ukraine joining, and a lot of people who said no were more like “only if they satisfy requirements we all had to”.

Hungary is not a country where everyone hates Ukrainians, it’s barely controversial and that’s because of a small loud minority.

Yeah, everyone just need to forget that one of the biggest hungarian export is cyhany romani, who are infamous for being involved in drug trafficking, human trafficking, etc. (not saying that they are bad people, but it’s fucking Hungary, not exactly the place where mafia just dreams of moving)
