    If someone has linked it like !support@lemmy.world, then all you need to do is click that link and reload the page if it gives an error (on web at least, no idea how it works with apps)

    Search for the community with an exclamationmark in front of it. Like this:

    !support@lemmy.world

    It might take a few seconds for your instance to download the community. You will only be able to see the newest posts. And comments and votes will only come over from the moment you subscribe.
