i came accross this mastodon account that does polls to see what character does in rpg setting https://mastodon.social/@dungeons

I wanted to know if there was any games that simulate an mmorpg and can even have character interactions or mining. it would be fun to promote or make for fediverse engagement. for all I know it can be a simple game where you are stuck in the starting village and all you can do is trade wood, hay, and charcoal.

I like the description of 1 fram every 30 minutes. So a play through should take a few decades

Id love to see the fediverse represented as a 2d mmo like habbo hotel or club penguin where different ppl represent commenters. Little bubbles over their head showing their last comment. Idk if gamified socialmedia/forums are a thing, would love to see it. Idle game built into the fediverse with leaderboards to encourage posting/commenting (not karma based) Max daily boost limit so it doesn’t encourage spam.

If someone built a pokemon /digimon/yugioh clone into any of these, with inventory attached to profile, that would be pretty peak.

I was oddly coming to that conclusion, like it would be a mastodon instance but the json would communicate game States and state transition (like buying an item in game), but you wouldn’t need a mastodon instance for that.

I thought about making a account that is tamagotchi but for a villager. Like you make sure they’re feed and hydrated and they work enough to get supplies they can trade(with other players) for food and water. Something simple so that it’s addicting or hard to code.

Then I think that I should be fediverse project. It would help with engagement, but I can see people making monetized systems and developing gambling pages…
