I dunno, but I ate like a kilo of baby carrots in one sitting and my stomach hurt for two days. Another time I had three bowls of extra-dense oatmeal and it hurt to walk or sit down.

Maybe I have some self control issues.

A person can die from eating too much of anything. What you should’ve asked is how much trail mix would it take to kill me?

    Best of luck with that!

Depending on family history, eating a lot of small hard foods like peanuts and sunflower seeds may put you at risk for diverticulitis.

You have small pockets of tissue in your large intestine that can allow small, undigested pieces of food to get stuck. If it hangs out there too long, it may harbor bacteria that will grow and then you end up with acute lower abdominal pain that could turn into a life-threatening problem akin to apendicitis.

If there’s a lot of nuts in that mix you may end up with some severe stomach pain and gas. That’s the reason I cannot buy bulk containers of pre-shelled peanuts.
