So in theory, heating shouldn’t be extremely expensive this winter?
There was sufficient storage all through out last winter, and while the warm weather certainly helped in that regard, it was mainly gas market speculation that drove up the gas prices and resulted in record profits of the companies involved in the gas trade.
Assuming the situation will be a bit more stable this year, I guess it will not happen again to the same extend, but lets see.
Are there insights from which countries the tanks were filled up? Was it supplied with tankers from overseas or did they just purchase the Russian gas with a markup via transit countries?
