This doesn’t make sense though. They could destroy thousands of ballots and it’s not like either of those states are going to go to Trump.

Yes sabotaging elections via fire bomb in ballot box is not a rational action.

But it could win them more local elections, and then we get fuckery like what’s happening in Florida and Texas all up in our business.

Local elections matter too, and often more, than national ones.

Both states in these areas have toss-up Congressional races. They could decide control of the House.

Careful now, don’t want to dig too deep on this one. If you expose that a cop did this, they’ll make your life hell.

Coincidentally also what liberals have been spamming on Lemmy along with actual real life blue PACs, with all that talk about “we’ll know if you voted, and we’ll remember.”

Totally a sign of a healthy democracy and an indicator that Dems are totally different and on the good side, nothing to see here.

I live here in Vancouver and will be on the lookout, but I’m not optimistic. Police in Vancouver basically do almost nothing on crime and are filled with a bunch of people that want to see the city go to shit so they can blame Democrats.

WILD that you’re getting downvoted. Seems some agree a person can “deserve to be raped”… y’all need to do better.

Idgaf if they’re convicted of the most heinous crime, rape and mental torture was not part of the sentence handed out in court. Never mind that there’s thousands of people who are wrongly convicted.

OP was quoting Office Space. A character in the movie is scared of prison and thinks that the worst punishment would be time in a minimum security detention center until they are corrected by another character who uses the overly dramatic “point you in the ass” prison to describe the level of misery that the character will be in.

You can hate the joke but OP is using it correctly.

It’s still needlessly being repeated, and trivializes prison rape as a ‘normal’ thing. I can cherry pick lines from a bunch of movies like Blazing Saddles or Django Unchained that are inappropriate - but it’d be ‘using it correctly’ right?
