Crapto peeps/goldbugs/Austrian economics fans are convinced that “sound money” is required for a society to function, so they twist everything to make reality conform to that vision. Similarly, for rats/eugenicists, the idea that some people are superior to others is an axiom, and they’ll happily ditch actual science to arrive at that conclusion. The whole “we love the scientific method” is just LARPing.
