It’s likely that they knew a long time ago but they are just now announcing it. This would probably also explain why he was so mentally foggy or, seeming like he had dementia. Many cancer drug drugs can do that toyou.

If that’s the case he was even more wrong about running than everyone assumed.

When all the joy in life is gone, I’ll take any joke that eeks just a little bit of dopamine out of my brain.

I mean, Biden is quoted as calling it a campaign promise.

Which is is less binding than a pinky promise, but in 2024, he at least saw that he had made the commitment in 2020. Plenty of people in 2024 then were also incorrectly saying that Biden didn’t make that promise.

Compared to Trump winning? Which was the only viable other option during that term.

Viable!?! Given Biden only really won because of Covid, I think Bernie would’ve actually had a shot in the general, especially in energizing the base and working class. Warren could’ve also stood a better chance, even if she might not have done as great of a job in office.

Biden was the worst choice, I thought Buttigieg, Klobuchar, and especially Harris in 2020 were far better, but the capitalist elites wanted a weak old man, so we got Biden, dooming us for 2024 because there was no way he’d be selfless enough to step aside. He might’ve said he’d be one term, but he was lying and that’s why no one took him seriously.

This was exactly my first thought.

And if so, that’s a double “fuck you” to Joe and everyone on his staff trying to keep this shit under wraps.

He should have just resigned the goddamn Presidency when he was first diagnosed JFC

Yeah if he was incapacitated because of drugs he should have let Kamala take over.
