    have been discontinued or unpopular.

…and? Manufacturers will drop expandable storage because they can charge $100+ more for a model with another 128gb. Yes they still sell phones with them but they’re not the flagships.

Are there phones with expandable storage that people could buy to avoid that cost?

If so, why aren’t they that popular?

Why are you like this? There’s no reason I can’t have a phone with a nice screen, top of the lime camera, and the above. Other than no one wanting to sell one.

And yes, any decent phone will take good enough photos but is that the point?

I’m sure there’s companies that make them. But if people wanted them, and they’re able to buy them, then there must be some reason they’re not.

Maybe it’s because most people - not internet nerds like us - don’t care about those things.

My wife had an iPhone XR. She loved it. It was all she needed. However it was only 64 GB and she ran out of storage. If it had an expandable storage option she would still be using it. Your comment is daft.

Aux jack, sure, I’ll even give you expandable storage, but everyone could benefit from removable batteries.

People that don’t care about that just don’t know that they could have that option. They will complain for a bit and suck it up, or even better (for the manufacture) a newer one that has more storage, more Milliamperes, and such.

9/10 times people just listen to whatever the sales donkey says, which is those shit $0 phones on a contract where you end up paying more then the cost of the phone to begin with.

People that want features don’t typically go get whatever shit $0 phone is being offered.

Yes, the reason they aren’t is they want people to buy new phones, not fix and upgrade their current ones. This is not hard to figure out.

Other companies could make phones with external storage and removable batteries that could outsell the ones that don’t have them if people actually wanted removable batteries and external storage.
