    Never really saw it become a big deal, aren’t they just talking in third person?

      Nope. They got pissed off that I called them not just “them,” but “you.”

      And I explained to them that both of those pronouns are gender-neutral and that they apply to everyone and I would be willing to use them on anyone. Now they’re following me around and harassing me for doing things like using ‘he’ when referring to Caillou. As in the cartoon toddler.
