My THEORY is that it’s MEANT as a SUBSTITUTE for LOGIC and REASON - that in LIEU of saying things that are ACTUALLY logical, reasonable or true, they JUST say things really LOUDLY.
It MUST be TRUE because it’s so EMPHATIC, right?
And it PROBABLY triggers a PAVLOVIAN response in the DUNDERHEADS who READ it. “LOOK at all the CAPS! This is MY kind of TRUTHINESS!”
It’s because instead of using logic to reason, they use emotion: usually outrage, fear, uncertainty, anger, distrust. All while of course projecting the ‘overly emotional and illogical’ stamp onto “bleeding heart liberals”.
Caps conveys what their audience pays attention to.

If you Want to be REALLY TRUMPIAN you need to also Sprinkle in a Bunch of words that are Merely Capitalized rather than Always using ALL CAPS!!!1
