I agree, Democrats arent my favorite source either.
I agree, Democrats arent my favorite source either.
Earlier this week more than 170 charities and other NGOs called for the GHF to be shut down. The organisations, including Oxfam and Save the Children, say Israeli forces and armed groups “routinely” open fire on Palestinians seeking aid.
Israel denies its soldiers deliberately shoot at aid recipients and says the GHF’s system provides direct assistance to people who need it, bypassing Hamas interference.
The GHF says it had delivered more than 52 million meals in five weeks and that other organisations “stand by helplessly as their aid is looted”.
The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas’s 7 October 2023 attack on Israel, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage.
At least 57,130 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the territory’s Hamas-run health ministry.
Ok, one thing stands out to me about this article, let me dig up a reference…

More than a hundred BBC employees have written a letter to the director general, Tim Davie, complaining that the Corporation has become a mouthpiece for Israel.
It was also signed by 300 other journalists and media professionals: one of them was yours truly. The BBC employees, as you would expect, are all anonymous, because otherwise they would face grave consequences to their careers.
While sentences such as ‘Hamas run health ministry’ are woven in as standard to undermine faith in the death toll in Gaza, basic facts like the International Criminal court issuing arrest warrants against Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defence minister are not.
Trump asked her to repeat the first part of her question, to which she clearly responded: “Is there a specific timeframe you expect the detainees to spend here?”
But the president still appeared confused by the question as he went on a bizarre and lengthy monologue about how much time he’d spend in Florida. “I’m gonna spend a lot. Look this is my home state, I love it, I love your government, I love all the people around,” he said.
He didnt recognize the word “detainees.”
\story, IMO
Oh, yeah, that part.

I don’t see any listed on lineageos.org? I would love to get one again.
I had one of these Unihertz keyboard phones before. Comes with bloatware and the typical Android restrictions for removal. No 3rd party OS support. I ended up returning mine after a couple weeks.
Arturo Flores, the mayor of Huntington Park, issued a statement on Saturday condemning what he called “masked abductions” by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which has spent the past month raiding workplaces, farms, and homes as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to ramp up the deportation campaign.
“These are not lawful arrests. These are abductions,” said Flores. “For more than a week, we have witnessed families being torn apart, children left without parents, and residents vanishing without explanation. Men dressed in tactical gear, operating unmarked vehicles without displaying credentials or agency affiliation, have infiltrated our neighborhoods in direct violation of our community’s values, civil rights, and the basic principles of due process.”
Flores formally ordered the Huntington Park Police Department “to begin verifying the identities and authority of any individuals conducting such operations within city limits” and to enforce vehicle codes requiring cars to have visible license plates and agency markings.
I’ve seen this before, I think it’s just a long running trend to make the name stand out. See, for example: https://christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/783/why-does-the-nkjv-put-jesus-name-in-all-caps-in-matthew-121-and-luke-131

WASHINGTON, June 9 – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) today released the following statement after President Trump bypassed California’s governor to deploy National Guard troops to California:
"Let’s be clear: Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in California is not about the protests there, ICE, or immigration. It is about using extremely dubious legal authority to expand his never-ending grasp for more power and his effort to move this country toward authoritarianism. This is a president who has usurped the constitutional responsibilities of Congress; threatened to impeach judges who rule against his policies; sued media that criticize him; extorted money from law firms that have represented his opponents; and is withholding funds from universities for teaching courses he doesn’t like.
“In our federalist form of government, it is the governor of a state who deploys the National Guard — not the president of the United States. It is absurd and laughable for the Trump administration to argue that they needed to mobilize the National Guard because of a threat from a “foreign invasion” or “rebellion” against the United States. This is just another example of Trump wanting more power for himself and ignoring the law. All Americans – Democrats, Republicans, independents – must stand together against this gross abuse of power.”
This conversation was about me saying no that is not conflation, and agreeing with the intent of the person you replied to. It’s not any bigger than that.
The intent of the person you replied to being, WTF is “we didn’t have a problem”?? Yes, everyone please clap for Newsom, he called ICE cruel! He sure told Trump off! I’ll criticise Newsom all day long and you can call me stupid and complain about where I’m putting my goalposts.
Newsom “condemns” ICE the way Republicans condemn the deficit. I.e., not in any way that matters. And now events are forcing him to pretend to care.
Thank you, yes he said that.
I’m saying that “We didn’t have a problem until Trump got involved. This is a serious breach of state sovereignty — inflaming tensions while pulling resources from where they’re actually needed. Rescind the order. Return control to California.” is a WTF level statement. Newsom will happily let ICE empty out people from homes as long as it is done politely.
I dont interpret that as conflation, more pointing out, why doesn’t Newsom consider ICE kidnappings a problem?? He’s only concerned about the unrest just like he pretends to be addressing homelessness by criminalization

Sounds like a dangerous job, they might be asked to round each other up at the end of it.
