Aw yeah, I knew that was coming out this month… gotta put some time aside to listen to it all the way through.

I guess if they were kids together maybe they were napping in the yard or something… Or maybe they were both staying at the same vacation lodge as the same time (with their parents nearby, natch.)
My best interpretation of that sentence is that it’s because they have complicated layered Victorian clothes on that require assistance to get into or out of.
Yeah now that I think about it, it’s probably like that scene from Gone with the Wind where all the young ladies are taking off their corsets together so they can take a nap (or in this case, sit by the fire.)
“…we have slept together…”
" I wish I were with you, dear, sitting by the fire undressing…"
I’m guessing these don’t mean what they mean nowadays, right?
yep FTA:
The name ramune is derived from the English word lemonade.
in Latin works orbis terrarum, the ‘world of the lands’, whence “orb” derives

Apparently it represents the entire world, so it’s probably some kind of Ground-type Pokemon. Maybe Torterra?
Something to try: keep a bucket of water nearby for those “difficult” flushing situations. If you really want conservation points, fill the bucket with your shower run-off.
Oh hey I understand that! It says “Speak German to Spez”.
Done. Now what if I want to taunt my enemies by surprise?

It’s in the southern end of the square, there should be a sign and some steps down, looks like it’s open noon-4:30. When I was there in 2019 there were a couple of rooms full of cats being sheltered for various reasons and you could go hang out with them, dunno about now.
There’s also a cat shelter in the Non-catholic Cemetery (where Keats, Shelley, and Gramsci are buried) by the Pyramid of Cestius but that one wasn’t open to the public last I saw. Usually cats wandering in the cemetery tho.
Thanks for the info, I don’t do a lot of image cross-posting. I think I’ve got it fixed. I double-checked via the following:
Good for him, but this is pretty much an Orphan-Crushing Machine moment.
This image is OC art by @teagrrl@lemmy.ml . This is a cross-post from the community !glitch_art@lemmy.ml, where they just started posting about a month ago. I believe it’s made without AI (but obviously edited on a computer at some point). Anyway, a lot of it has a cyberpunk feel to it, so the whole community’s worth checking out.
As far as cover art, I prefer the US 1899 first edition, which is just a dark castle on a hill. (with a tan cover – that could be better I guess).
Funny thing about the 1901 sixpenny paperback art – I zoomed in to look at it closer and I coulda sworn it said “Batman” in the lower right-hand corner!
I read this meme then went back to sleep, and had a dream that I was freeloading at Cicero’s swimming pool while he wasn’t around and I woke up when I heard his wife Terentia coming home.
(yeah I know Cicero wasn’t involved in the assassination and I dunno if he had a swimming pool but I just had to tell someone.)
There’s also a cat shelter in the excavated area: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Largo_di_Torre_Argentina
That’s only for Kraftwerk.
It’s an interesting case… the dryer image looks AI-generated (bc of the weird controls at the top) and the little hamster-outfit also looks generated (bc of the belt ornament) but it looks like several elements were manually edited together:
Note the lighting differences in the hamster-outfit and in the green outfit.
CAVEAT: I’m not familiar with the latest AI-generation tools, maybe this is just what it looks like now. Also, I’m not defending this “nurungi hamster” person, they coulda just taken a picture of a dryer.

Let me guess… you’re from Europe…
Here in the US the main obstacle is the lock on the phone which usually police can’t get past,
In recent years police were able to get into phones quite easily. See this nytimes article: https://archive.is/fOTDz Not sure what the current state of the art is.
The video’s pretty funny… it’s kinda surreal but at the same time it looks like just an ordinary neighborhood.
