Poor Things could have been extremely dark and disturbing considering its subject, but they instead chose to make it an absurdist sci-fi comedy. While i found it very uplifting i would definitely recommend taking a look at trigger warnings before watching it.

Licorice Pizza was also quite uplifting to me but it could be a hard watch for people who have issues with age gaps and power dynamics in relationships (both of which are explored heavily in the movie and are neither romanticized nor condemned).
