Yeah the entire discourse about this conflict here is even more stupider than on reddit

It can’t be relied on for anything, and it’s double work reading the words it shits out and then you still gotta double check it’s not made up crap.

Is this a lemmy only thing?
I get an idea. Maybe only people subscribed get the downvote button. It would help drive haters away. they should just block this sub and move on.

I don’t recommend it. I ran local AI in my phone before (iPhone but same difference), and just asking it stuff makes it warm up to touch. Battery also takes a hit.
It also messes up multitasking features since it uses up most memory which kills background apps. Phones weren’t designed for this.
Best way is to host it in an actual dedicated machine that can be accessed remotely.
net00@lemmy.todayto Global News@lemmy.zip•Japan births in 2024 fell below 700,000 for first time3·11 days agoYes that’s something they gotta do to help fix the root problem. I meant more that even if they fix it today, there will be chaos still in the coming years from not enough young people to replace old people retiring and paying taxes to support everything.
They have to let people in from other places easily.
net00@lemmy.todayto Fediverse@lemmy.world•lemm.ee is shutting down at the end of this monthEnglish3·11 days agoI ended up choosing this one, since it’s small and it helps spread the user load around.
Alternatively, if you want to delete your lemm.ee profile, now is the best time to do it, so the deletion can federate out before we go offline.
I also decided to nuke my account, unfortunately when lemm.ee shuts down this implies users will lose control over the content saved on other instances without ability to remove it.
If you nuke it now the deletion will still sync through fediverse.
net00@lemmy.todayto Global News@lemmy.zip•Japan births in 2024 fell below 700,000 for first time211·12 days agoPrime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has called the situation a “quiet emergency”, pledging family-friendly measures like more flexible working hours to try and reverse the trend.
Nah dude it’s over. Not just in Japan but in most developed countries. Changes were needed decades ago. The only way to survive it is to relax immigration, not by “maybe” cutting work hours.
You must be shit at setting up your computer… I’ve never had that happen once. Yes it can restart once or twice in the process of updating, but it finishes up with a full shutdown nicely.
