@julian in Hubzilla the group actor will fork the original post with a quote reshare. Hence attributedTo is set to the group actor. IIRC the author of the original post is being stored for refernce but we currently do not use this info.

context currently serves activities. But we are in the process of moving to contextHistory.

@julian Hubzilla internally backfills via context. Has done so all along. Activitypub content is so far backfilled via inReplyTo traversal and the replies collection.

@julian i see… In general i think in distributed systems it makes a lot of sense to keep the source intact while consuming the data you need. Other projects might need to consume a different set of fields and the overhead is minimal…

What if only the activity is signed (as is often the case) and the object is not fetchable due to let’s say some network error?

Very view fedi projects support event rsvp an the possibility to add events to the calendar. Hubzilla does and Streams and i think Friendica also…
