besselj@lemmy.cato Ask Electronics@discuss.tchncs.de•[Solved] Looking for assistance figuring out how to fix this connector.English3·2 hours agoIts a JST type connector I think. I bet if you check digikey (or whatever supplier you use), you’ll be able to find kits for replacing the connector and its pins. Looks like the silkscreen labels on the right edge of the board below the connector show the pinout order.
Edit: on second thought, that labeled pinout may only be for the through-hole solder points. Safest bet would be to just identity the wires and solder them accordingly, rather than mess with the connector.
Physical keys and what looks like a headphone jack? Seems like an upgrade

There’s no expectation of privacy when using software/hardware supplied by your IT dept.
If they’re scanning social media too, it would be good to know which ones to purge

Fully automating without humans somewhere in the loop will lead to major legal liabilities down the line, esp if mistakes can’t be fixed fast.
You wouldn’t be the first and definitely won’t be the last to quit PhD. Academia is far more toxic than any industry I’ve worked in. It gets much better in the real world though. You’ll be okay with or without a PhD.
No, I’m a teapot
I highly recommend the Stasis series. The suspenseful storytelling and dystopian lore are top-notch.

Helps to keep a low profile on social media too.
If they catch on, I’ll still refuse to use them
