  • I love in a very overcrowded area. The traffic is nearly legendary, and I just saw that my hometown was chosen to have the worst traffic in the nation. I travel the East Coast a lot, and I’ve been in that DC/ Baltimore corridor during rush hour, and ours is just as bad. NYC traffic is easy. Where I live, if you aren’t home by 3 pm, then you won’t be home before 7 pm. The traffic is that bad.

But over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed that traffic on the streets and in the stores is much lighter. I walked into Walmart in the middle of the day, and when I walked up to the registers, the cashiers from three registers and a few others were all just hanging out, talking. The store was nearly empty. Grocery stores have been the same way lately.

I should also say that we live in a very Hispanic area, with people from every nation in the world here. They comprise about 40% of the local population. My guess is that Hispanics just aren’t going out of the house unless they have to. They know they are being profiled by the cops, and they don’t even have to do anything wrong to get pulled over and possibly/ probably detained. Better to avoid it altogether, and stay home.

I would also imagine that every Hispanic parent is having serious talks with their children, especially if they are undocumented. The kids may be fine, having been born here, but if they get in trouble, the parents are going to come into focus, and the next thing they know, Mom & Dad are getting sent back to Honduras, and their American born and raised kids are going with them. So the word is that if you want to stay living in America with your friends and school and video games and TV shows in English, etc., you better watch yourself.

  • I’ve thought about this a lot, and I have a theory - It’s a sign of his Sociopathic/ Psychopathic personality. He’s a severely broken human being, and a textbook example of a sociopath/psychopath, which includes a lack of understanding of all emotions. He doesn’t understand how people feel about things, and doesn’t understand the meanings of descriptive emotional words like Love or Beautiful. Because he can’t feel those things, he literally doesn’t understand what they mean.

OTOH, like most psychopaths, he is aware that others think differently than him, and so he needs to fit in by pretending to understand those concepts. But since he has always been a wealthy arrogant bully, he never really had to learn that skill to survive, he’d do fine even if every one knows he’s a psycho, so he’s never tried that hard. He still pays it lip service though, so he sprinkles those words in occasionally, hoping he’s using them properly, because he can’t be bothered to really care that much.

That’s why we end up with awkward, cringy statements about him and the fat Korean fuckjob “trading beautiful love letters” and “falling in love,” or the “big, beautiful bill,” or this amazing sentence:

“I don’t think that a beautiful baby girl needs – that’s 11 years old – needs to have 30 dolls,”

He just referred to an 11 year old girl as beautiful and a baby, in the same sentence. Not creepy or weird at all. /s

He thinks he is hiding among us by using those normal words, but he uses them so inappropriately that it only draws our attention to how deficient his personality is.

  • Between AI and Robotics, we will likely have a permanently unemployed segment of close to 50%, or even more, within the next decade.

Not everyone will be able to be retrained to be a robotics engineer or AI programmer, and many, many jobs that are considered entry-level will disappear. Imagine a world where most fast food and retail workers are unemployed.

When 40% of America is unemployed, the government will be faced with 2 options - Universal Basic Income, or reducing the population by 40%. Which solution will each party embrace, and how will they accomplish their objectives?

  • Social Security is literally the easiest problem to fix. Just raise the cap.

Right now, we pay SS on the first $167,000 in income. Most people make less than that so they pay SS on 100% of what they earn. But those who earn more that $167K only pay it on the first $167K.

So all they have to do is raise the cap from $167K to $250K, or $500K, etc. They’ll scream about it, but who cares? Most of us pay it on 100% of our pay, so I’m not concerned if you have to pay it on a fraction of that amount.

Simple. Stop listening to the Conservative Propaganda Machine, and just raise the cap.
