Xheadto World News@lemmy.world•Canadian politician resigns from his seat to allow defeated Conservative leader Poilievre to enter ParliamentEnglish1·21 days agoAnd do you think that’s conclusive to a well functioning government?
To me that just leads to corruption, incentivizing self severing interest.
Xheadto World News@lemmy.world•Canadian politician resigns from his seat to allow defeated Conservative leader Poilievre to enter ParliamentEnglish6·23 days agoPolitical parties should just standby the morals and principles they try to uphold.
If they align together, great they can both vote yes. If they don’t then they don’t. Pandering to other parties to get their vote just gets in the way of what you are actually trying to achieve.
That’s my take anyways
It really doesn’t matter what it means.
It’s disrespectful and embarrassing. You can voice your negative opinions all you want and I’ll respect that. This country isn’t perfect and we’ve never been more divided.
But you dishonour the men and woman who died defending the very ground you stand on.
I’m disappointed that people like you think this is acceptable.
How about you flip that flag for a start.

And inaction is just as big of a choice as action. You can’t just abstain from the choice.
The Germans civilians that lived outside the concentration camps were as guilty as the guards themselves.
Obviously I don’t believe the levels of guilt aren’t the same as say Hitler himself but they were guilty nonetheless.
No it’s tied to your actions and principles.
There are also plenty of Russians invading their neighbour, slaughtering thousands of innocent people.
Just like the complacent Americans sitting by watching their “leader” destroy the civility of the free world. The Russians are no better.
Actually it’s a fucking nightmare having your closest neighbour threaten your sovereignty on a daily basis.
It’s even worse when half the population actually endorses the behaviour.
I don’t hate Americans I’m just disappointed. I hope my children aren’t going to die in a trench on the same field I farm
Good thing I’m not an American.
Overall I agree with you but I was more focused currency in regards to lending money… not a lack of currency as a whole.
You don’t have to go far back in history to find interest rates on lending money regarded as criminal behaviour.
How did anyone do anything before currency was invented?
Your comment implies that what you describe is a requirement for a functioning society
It isn’t.
Xheadto politics @lemmy.world•Trump signs new order to vastly expand presidential powersEnglish121·3 months agoProbably because they expect your military to start murdering them with zero regards to how it plays out within the next 4 years.
This is essentially what happened within Nazi Germany before World War 2
Xheadto politics @lemmy.world•Trump signs new order to vastly expand presidential powersEnglish61·3 months agoPersonally I’d resort to sabotage. It’s incredibly easy to fabricate explosives in today’s world compared to the rest of history.
Hell, in America I’d imagine you could just buy explosives outright.
And what are you going to do about it?
You understand the guy driving the Abrams is also your neighbour right?
What the fuck is a correct protest? The only thing that matters is the results.
For a country that loves guns you sure don’t fucking use em unless it involves a school or strip mall. A majority of your country is just complacent.
And you do what everyone else does, drop it off at the gate and leave cash.
