  • TLDR of about 2 minutes:

There’s a crisis for privacy, as the rise of AI is exacerbating the already bad problem of browser fingerprinting.

People perceive there are these different websites, when in reality Cloudflare, Google, Amazon, Oracle, Fingerprint-pro, and others are everywhere, just under different domains. The vast majority of browsers are immediately vulnerable, such as LibreWolf and Brave. And Tor Browser with JavaScript blocking breaks many websites.

Even worse, some companies look to abuse the lack of knowledge, and promote spoofing extensions. Spoofing is completely ineffective, and lying about your browser makes you stand out even more when compared to the real ones, as Google’s Picasso and Cloudflare’s captcha force your device to render graphics compared to the real one.

AI can shift through large amounts of data, and determine your entire life. And Cloudflare measures the speed you load websites, which is a huge issue because they are serving you all the different sites from the same CDN server by location.

Even if under some situations you block enough Javascript to fool them, they haze you with delays, increased captchas, and restrictions for sites like Reddit, Twitter, and eBay.

Since having different browsers with different IPs is a pain in the bunghole, HydraVeil simplifies this process by having a 2nd Linux distro built-in, an automatic VPN IP for each browser, and a realistic screen size with a 2nd isolated graphical environment. It automatically matches the timezone of the environment with your IP address, to avoid websites hazing or restricting you.

So TLDR: In a single click, HydraVeil empowers users to launch realistic browser fingerprint profiles, to isolate the pieces of their life privately and securely.

  • You’re correct about that being an issue, there’s 3 responses:

First, the person can flip to airplane mode in their home. It’s possible to be actively targeted by an attack, but this is unlikely if you’re a random IMEI

second, the person could be renting through a friend or cash via landlord. or in a highly populated city

third, if you’re that concerned, then do hotspots or GLiNET with external sim, and then the person would want to avoid the main phone in their name anyway, to avoid the attacks mentioned in the first one

  • I own the domain MoneroFreedom.x if you want to use it for IPFS/Arweave sites, I’d be willing to donate it if you showed me the content

Also the tech behind RebelNet.me can be self-hosted for XMR tips forum. I agree Reddit isn’t great due to censorship/surveillance. And Lemmy is mostly socialists. While as Nostr over Tor is more suitable. This can use Nostr tor relays
