That cranky tech nerd you watched that one time…
@dohpaz42@lemmy.world I’m way behind on peertube. I am looking to get more involved with it soon.
I’m really proud of how this video came out. All the “talking to camera” footage was captured by the HOVERAir (with a special shout out to the Saramonic mics recording).
I dont usually do outdoor shots like this, and the drone nailed these simple “walk and talk” shots.
You’ll absolutely be seeing footage from this action camera in future videos of mine.
@Spiralvortexisalie@lemmy.world on the day we went, the air was a lot clearer at the Taj Mahal than in Delhi, but I still needed a mask.
@Cris_Color@lemmy.world glad you enjoyed them 😊
@Zachariah@lemmy.world that one’s my favorite too 😊
@thisisjmx@mastodon.social it’s been amazing. I’m not the most seasoned world travel, so this is a huge experience for me.
@Overlander_1@techhub.social oh man. I don’t know I’ll have the time, but I REALLY wanted to.
@Overlander_1@techhub.social Oh I’m with you on generative AI slop, but I will admit to enjoying the output of NPUs since the Huawei Kirin chips back in the day.
THat’s how we got cameras that could identify subjects, then later we got Sony’s amazing eye tracking autofocus, and now subject detection in photo editing apps.
That kind of on-device practical NPU performance is really interesting.
Making soulless “art” out of prompts? A lot less interesting…
@Overlander_1@techhub.social Naw. Subject selection has always been a tedious chore. No one’s artistic skills are being challenged in the market JUST because we can identify a subject and draw a border around it a little faster. 😄
@notanonymous26@fosstodon.org Oh definitely not open source, but Qualcomm has an SDK for devs https://www.qualcomm.com/developer/software/neural-processing-sdk-for-ai
@eddeeMN @politics @uspolitics @realTuckFrumper
And even if it is true, we’re all still gonna work like she’s 10 points down.
@Ahslan@techhub.social 😊
@KingJalopy@lemm.ee @bluGill@fedia.io
Huh. I think you have to go a ways back for T-Mobile support. Like the X Compact?
I think the last carrier they worked with was VZW for mmWave on the XPERIA pro. Other than that, theyve only been unlocked devices over the last six years.
@KingJalopy@lemm.ee People with taste often appreciated what the XPERIA could do.
@KingJalopy@lemm.ee It’s kind of a running theme on tech YouTube these days. Tech “enthusiasts” motivated to comment on videos only appreciate the popularity of product.
If a company is less popular, it doesn’t matter if they have useful or fun features, those features are never “worth it”. Especially if those features aren’t on a more popular phone.
So an XPERIA is often made fun of for having a headphone jack and memory card expansion, and a shutter button has to be mocked.
It’s all fanbois and bias confirmation. The rational people aren’t leaving comments like they used to, because why would they?
@FurtiveFugitive@lemm.ee it’s such a fun little flyer. The camera quality bump is REALLY nice.
