Kimmel was pointing out that maga types were pointing fingers at other groups. It sounded like he was implying the shooter was maga, but I think that is reading too much into his comment. In any case we still don’t have much information about the shooter’s ideology. It seems clear the shooter acted alone and wasn’t coordinating with any other individual or group.

I think this post is about belittling which makes a person feel like they shouldn’t talk about what they’re interested in. Saying “oh cool” is, by contrast, absolutely a reasonable response.
I think the Venn diagram of guys who want a big tiddy girlfriend with a tiny waist who plays video games and is caring towards them overlaps not only with overweight and jobless but also fit and employed and everything in between. What you’re referring to “don’t make a single effort at anything and are convinced women [owe] him to be perfect” is borderline abusive. You are insulting other overweight and jobless folk with your generalization.

7·1 month agoNot OP, but I think the analogy to what is happening to online privacy would be if you were asked to identify yourself at every location: the grocery store, the farmers market, the corner park, the trail along the river; and all of those checkpoints were aggregated and sold, meaning that someone who might not have your best interests at heart could use your travel timeline against you, to advertise to you, to sue you, to charge you with a crime, to destroy your public reputation.
They cost more, have to be charged, add a conversion step to the audio, often sound worse. Can I plug my Sony MDR-7506s that I’ve had for 30 years and use every day? Sure if I get a converter… But even that uses up a usb-c port that I could be using for something else.
I personally know several in that age group (minor zoomers) who game on Windows and Linux.
These delineations are quite silly especially when used in a derogatory way. But if one plays that game, there are still “zoomers” who are minors.
