Generator@lemmy.ptto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•SATA emulation software?SandiskPortable lockedEnglish4·2 years agoNot related to selfhosted but OK.
Don’t know about such software for Windows, but if you run Windows on a virtual machine on Linux, like virt-manager/libvirt you can add the USB as a local SSD.
Virt-manager isn’t the most user friendly, but have a lot of features
Generator@lemmy.ptto Lemmy Apps@lemmy.world•Is there a Lemmy app for Android that lets me funnel links through my instance (or a preferred "home" instance)?2·2 years agoI’ve created an issue about this on Liftoff a few days ago

Generator@lemmy.ptto Liftoff!@lemmy.world•Feature request: automatically clear old images from cacheEnglish4·2 years agoMany times i’ve seen people changing their phones because of low storage, and then have the same issue.
When cleaning apps cache colde solve the problem without spending any money.I have SD Maid scheduled to clean apps cache once a day, most apps don’t have more that 200MB of cache, and plenty of free storage.
On Liftoff can be easily fixed by cleaning cache on exit, some apps have this options so don’t eat all of your storage.
I only use PiHole for a couple of months, it wasn’t easy to setup something that worked on my LAN and over internet. Initially I used OpenVPN but was hard to use it with profiles to identify the devices.
Than a tried AdGuard Home, and use it with DoH/DoT server was very simple, and can easily use any profile for each device on LAN or DoH/DoT server.
Can easily search logs and block/allow for each device.Give it a try, and use it for a couple days.

When USA tried to block TikTok, people started to use free VPNs to continue using TikTok.
Mostly are unaware or don’t understand, other just don’t care they “have nothing to hide”

Generator@lemmy.ptto Reddit@lemmy.world•One of Reddit’s biggest communities is suggesting users move to DiscordEnglish11·2 years agoAnd much less accessible, login required, phone number, a ton of system resources. And a privacy nightmare.
The app is still using the dev API token, the dev didn’t revoke the token and created a new one for the API changes.
If it’s abandoned the app will continue to work.

On S23 is almost 60GB https://www.neowin.net/news/heres-the-apparent-truth-behind-the-60gb-android-os-on-galaxy-s23/That’s why when a look for a phone, always research if there’s custom ROMs for it, AOSP based.
I control what’s on the phone, not otherwise

Por agora pode ser apenas rumores, também não me parece que tal venha a acontecer, a Microsoft iria perder grande parte dos utilizadores.
Mais provável seja algumas funções do Windows como AI ou outras.
