nah, he was high-profile big business lawyer before getting the minister chair - basically appointed as “the man outside of the system”. the problem was - he was a big business lawyer and he basically pushed the big business agenda inside ministry instead of you know state interests and shit. And then he decided to outargue a respected investigative reporter who exposed unlawful scheming inside Defense Ministry and while he was busy proving everybody wrong he outlined the whole thing even better and it caused even bigger public outcry so he was forced to resign.
I actually had that experience with my dad once. Back in high school I was blasting Pornography and he told me that he likes Siouxsie and The Banshees better and by the way Robert Smith played on Hyena. Mind blown.
sleep was created by Illuminati to control population. It is actually a drug and we are conditioned to be addicted to it.
reading about all these smart devices being privacy threats makes me think who would anyone need an oven with wifi in the first place. Like seriously - what’s the point?
we’re just a couple of years away from having a Starfleet captain who likes football A LOT and there will be an episode how one game of football reunited Romulans and Vulcans or something.
Win11 is 4,5 years old and still feels like 10 builds away from going gold. It feels thrown together.
It’s can be even funnier - one of our previous Defense Ministers decried corruption and massive money laundering operations on war effort while also being the one doing that. He literally snitched on himself and did it with panache of Scooby Doo villain and it was as stupid as it sounds.
that’s some hardcore Resident Evil shit.
Thank you! I will try out both on my personal computer.
have you seen the illustrated screenplay for Jodo’s Dune? It goes hard but it is nowhere near as edgy or risque as any of Ralph Bakshi movies from that era. It would’ve been way easier to pull off an animated version and given how successful Heavy Metal movie was just a couple of years later - it would’ve had quite a fighting chance at box office. Alas, it wasn’t to be - but we got one of the best comic books ever out of it so it is hard to complain.
thanks. gotta check it out.
what’s even funnier is that his character is inspired by Hal Needham - the same guy who inspired Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - who was also a top tier stuntman who later graduated into film directing and did a bunch of bombastic films with Burt Reynolds. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel could easily be the making of The Cannonball Run.
grade A example of how soundtrack can significantly add to movie’s atmosphere.
extra trivia bit - Vincent D’Onofrio played Orson Welles in a little cameo by the end of the movie - he later did a short film fictionalizing the way Welles came up with the cuckoo clock speech for The Third Man. It is very silly but VD goes hard.
It has its charm and also Isaac Hayes. I think Doomsday (2008) did an excellent job at adapting the idea and making it way wackier but also oddly lived-in - something Escape from LA tries and failed to do slipping into straight camp.
we might still get there by 2037 though
Escape from New York type of movie but found footage investigative journalist sneaks into city prison is an interesting idea
the best kind of movie - the one that implies there is bigger world outside and we’re witnessing only a tiny bit of this realm.
also - for whatever reason File Explorer occasionally decides to think about life and stuff for a minute or two upon opening random folders - it just keeps loading even if there’s like two files inside 2mb total.
