Keen to hear any novel ideas (or just the humdrum of your weekend).

Planning on watching Raiders of the Lost Ark and / or Star Trek Voyager with the 10 year old myself. Going on a decent hike and playground with the gang also in the mix.

The usual sports stuff.

I’m doing chicken wings on a Kamado Joe this weekend. If the weather holds. I’ll do some buffalo style, some BBQ style, some tandoori style, and some plain. The kids will eat something!

If you want some inspiration, please let me give a quick plug for Cooking with Fire.

Taking my son to one of the parks at Walt Disney World most likely, give mom some alone time. He’s only 19 months so we’re still living to just run around.

Oh my goodness, that’s a good one. Hope you have a great time. Nice to live so near to such an iconic place. Good memories inbound.

Bicycle, bicycle, bicycle. If it rains, some movie, I have a new microwave popcorn popper to try out. Probably Minecraft also.

Nice. That sounds like a good one. Enjoy. :)

edit: Just to temper your expectations, I found those microwave poppers middling at best.

However I would like to introduce you to the greatest improvement in my popcorn experience since I was born: Flavacol. Just a sprinkle mind you. Instant cinema popcorn.

Friend of mine bought it for me as a gift. Incredible gear.

I have an old popper that’s made of unknown plastic, we recently burnt it, so I thought to buy a glass one. In the same order was flavacol.

Oh now you’re poppin’. Less is more with the flavacol. As my father used to say “You can always have more, but you can’t have less”. He was talking about alcohol, but it applies here too. :D

it is honestly a game changer though. Enjoy!

This reminds me of a Malcolm in the Middle episode. They’re not really a thing where I live, but nearly everyone lives near the sea here.

      Is it outdoor?

Yeah outdoor. It is nice at the beginning of the summer when the water is 80-85 degrees. Towards the middle/end of the summer it gets to 90-95 and it just feels like bathwater. Sweating in the pool in miserable.

I’m stuck in a cycle of saturday morning sport spectating and friends birthday parties. I’m sick of talking about the weather with people I truly have nothing in common with.

Baby has a fever now, so the choice has been made for us. Had some outings planned but oh well…
