Former President Trump is the front-runner in a three-way race with President Biden and Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll shared with The Hill on Monday.

In a race between the three candidates, 44 percent of surveyed voters said they backed Trump, while 38 percent said they would vote for Biden. Another 12 percent said they supported Kennedy, and 5 percent said they did not know or were unsure of whom they were going to support.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Biden has a hill to climb at this point, though he has done it in the past,” said Mark Penn, the co-director of the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll.

The polling comes as Republicans and Democrats express concern about how Kennedy could impact the race as a third-party candidate.

The Democratic National Committee has established its own team to counter the influence of third-party candidates like Kennedy.

In a Truth Social post last week, Trump accused Kennedy of being put in the race in an effort to help Biden and said his running mate Nicole Shanahan is not a serious pick.

“President Trump’s rant against me is a barely coherent barrage of wild and inaccurate claims that should best be resolved in the American tradition of presidential debate,” Kennedy said.

Results are weighted based on a variety of a respondents’ characteristics to align with their actual proportions in the population.

Biden has a LOT of work to do, and I mean A LOT.

He’s behind in all the swing states, and is burning time and money in states he won’t win like Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.

Yes, I agree, his admin has a lot of work to do, half a year out until 2024 Nov elections so things can change a great amount in the positive… or negative though…

I myself advocate for 3rd party candidates and joining local groups in helping our communities, so as to have a much greater impact.

I was a Bernie Sanders advocate in 2016/2020, but as I grow and learn my politicial leanings has changed to follow closer to this mantra:

We should focus our actions, time, and resources on Direct Action, Mutual Aid, and Community Outreach. If you do engage in Electoral Politics do not support the Duopoly (Red or Blue Team). No War but Class War!
