      The person broke into the house, that’s why the cops were there. Then they went to the door with a gun, that’s why they opened fire.

        That is not accurate. Someone broke into a different apartment and a neighbor said there was a window broken at this one. They went to investigate, and this was the result.

          Per your second source a gun was found near the doorway and

          “According to the Sheriff’s Office account in the video, the deputies went to investigate the reported break-in and saw “the front window screen removed, broken glass and the blinds raised, near the front door.” The deputies knocked, and one of them announced their presence. It is unclear from the body camera footage where the glass was broken.”

            Probably wasn’t broken at all until they unloaded through the window.
