Just gotten this email from reddit (it doesnt look like a scam mail and its sent from noreply@reddit.com, and the link is for https://accounts.reddit.com/password

I havnt used reddit for like 2 weeks, and i have mfa enabled…
wtf is this??

    Just delete your account, that way everything they send you is known garbage.

        I actually never did that, I just used one of those plugins to purge my content. I probably should have, but also every time I have done that for other social media, I never went back to look at it anyway.

          As a general rule of precaution, don’t follow links in the email. Instead go to the website directly, maybe from a private or incognito instance, and reset it directly. If the email is valid, you’re doing the same thing and if it wasn’t you aren’t drawing attention to anyone else.

          It happened to me last year or something. Reset your password and it’ll be fine. It was probably leaked.

          Or do the smart thing and stay here instead. :)
