If you wield this and have 30 Strength, on a critical hit, the flail automatically casts the spell Atomic Fireball centered on the weapon.
Atomic Fireball.
10th-level evocation.
A bright flash explodes centered on a location with a radius of 500 feet and deals 100d8 fire damage, 100d8 radiant damage, and 100d8 thunder damage. Atomic Fireball deals 1d4 poison and 1d4 radiant damage each day to any creature that took initial damage for 30 days. Atomic Fireball also desecrates the ground, similar to the Hallow spell, causing any creature that enters to take 1d4 radiant damage each day and each creature must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw when they take damage. On a fail the target is poisoned for 1 year and takes 1d4 poison damage each day. This desecration effect lasts 10 years and cannot be dispelled save for a Wish.deleted by creator
Demon’s Flail. Sounds like a Dark Souls weapon.
This is “mutually assured destruction” at its most basic level
Does this double as a lime squeezer for after battle margaritas?

Demon core. Open it, you die from radiation. Close it, it goes critical and explode.
So, uh….
This one has a spacer bar on it… lowbie gear…
Can someone explain this to me?
To add to what rogue said…
The small ball in the center is plutonium. The outer shells both hemispheres are lead. The lead reflects neutrons back in.
Opened up radiation poors out. Fully closed… it goes critical and gives off a shot load more. When doing experiments/lab tests, they would occasionally cover it up with spacers… or a screwdriver blade….
The screwdriver was more common because it was “convenient”- but more than a few times the hemisphere slipped off and flashed the research with lethal radiation.
This, is why it’s nicknamed a “demon core”- it’s killed more than a few people working with it

It’s a plutonium sphere, was used for testing shapes to determine criticality(sustained nuclear chain reaction) in the Manhattan project.
Witness my IMPLOSION technique. Prompt CRITICAL.
Well, no one would dare fight you!
“Anyone who dares challenge me, dies!”
Best part is no need to light a fire to warm water for tea after the battle
This image tickles my pickle
I think @ilovethebomb is getting more out of it
A tickle or tingle are the first symptoms.
Are you telling me that this sucker is nuclear?!

I’ll call it, the blue flash.
