I don’t think they would - it’s just a meta-joke about conservative humor often being based around getting offended reactions from liberals rather than any wit of its own.

You see, were grossly offended by shitheads and bullshit. Farts tend to come from shitheads and bullshit.
There’s many major pieces of shits right now. Like shitheads who want to stop kids from having free school lunch. Or focus on banning books. We are also deeply offended by bullshit like a “supposed” massive fleet of immigrants, or saying how we can’t tax the rich. Or even worse, a mega asshole who speaks out of his fart mouth about how he pasta a cognitive test.
Furthermore, as a liberal, I am offended that you appropriated my offense for your own purposes. You don’t get to be offended for me, and if you fail to stand up for liberal ideals and be offended, I get to be offended about that too.
Is anyone else actually kinda surprised that Red Hood doesn’t get the same “I haven’t read the comics at all” treatment from the thin blue skin crowd as The Punisher?
Too recent and hasn’t been in any (theatrically-released) movies. Plus, before he became the Red Hood he was most well-known for wearing green shorts and getting his head bashed in with a crowbar, which spoils the power fantasy a bit.
Plus he only really came back with the last Crisis or something, so he’s pretty fresh for lack of a better term
Nah, he’s been back since 2005, but that’s still a lot more recent than the Punisher. There’s also the problem that the most mainstream DC adaptations won’t even touch Robin, and when they do it tends to be Dick Grayson. To get to Red hood, they’d have to introduce Dick, have him grow out of the Robin role, introduce a replacement Robin, kill him, then bring him back.
