I can’t see how they will be. We know the performance of the high end is not a large generational improvement and they can’t compete with what they’ve already launched. That means what’s left is to release… a 7800 that performs about the same as a 6800? Wow.

All they can do is price them aggressively so that they are more appealing than the 6000 generation, but I would be shocked if they do. It hasn’t been their MO recently.

if they announce a 7700xt thats cheaper than what I just paid for my 6700xt, I dont know if I’m going to maintain my rationality.

and just to be clear, I want the midrange cards like x7xx to be more affordable, Just annoyed that this announcement came after giving up and buying a new card.

Keep expectations low and your disappointment will not be as large.

        Exactly.

Be fully of despair and you ahve no where to go but up.

be full of hope and you have no where to go but down.

    I just bought a 6700xt.

Which means you are all welcome for my heroic sacrifice that has made them announce new cards.

I’d like to upgrade my graphics card, and I’m honestly wanting effectively a 7700xt equivalent. I’d like to not spend over $500, but I’ve got a 5700XT and I don’t want to just go one generation up at this point. So I guess I wait.
