Fox News host Brian Kilmeade defended former President Trump’s comments over the weekend in which he said immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country,” remarks that have earned him widespread rebuke.

“He was talking about the border. He was talking about people coming from other countries, coming from prisons. And they wanted to focus on all the Sunday shows, Lawrence, on the word he used, ‘poison,’” Kilmeade said of Trump. “He’s just trying to say we want to keep America, America. We want to build up the border and find out who’s coming in and out. And they tried to say that this language was the problem.”

Kilmeade’s comments on Monday morning were first highlighted by Mediate.

Trump, during a campaign event over the weekend, railed against immigration policies set forth by the Biden administration and claimed millions of people are entering the country illegally and “poisoning the blood of our country.”

No, Trump was talking about all non-whites. Trump also has said that Irish and Jews are not white. That’s how racist these conservatives are.

And the apologists are ramping up.

Didn’t they get their PP slapped hard enough over the dominion suit?

I don’t know how they can even slightly be supporting Trump with Smartmatic waiting to drain them dry.

My geuss is that they think sacrificing tucker would have been enough, and that Smartmatic is going to back off now. Which certainly isn’t the case.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade defended former President Trump’s comments over the weekend in which he said immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country,” remarks that have earned him widespread rebuke.

And they wanted to focus on all the Sunday shows, Lawrence, on the word he used, ‘poison,’” Kilmeade said of Trump.

Trump, during a campaign event over the weekend, railed against immigration policies set forth by the Biden administration and claimed millions of people are entering the country illegally and “poisoning the blood of our country.”

Critics quickly drew comparisons to Adolf Hitler, who used similar rhetoric with President Biden’s campaign accusing him of “parroting” the infamous dictator.

The former president’s comments come after he was asked directly by Fox News host Sean Hannity if he would act like a dictator himself if he were elected president again, answering “only on day one,” before saying his first goals would be to seal the southern border and ramp up efforts by the U.S. to drill for oil.

Kilmeade said leading Democrats and media figures are trying to make people “fearful” of a second Trump term so they will “hold their nose” and vote for Biden.

I agree with the comments here, but one thing I think it being missed is how this is a campaign fallacy built on a lie to install fear against “The Immigrant”. Last time this whole thing about millions of illegals crossing the border was brought up I seem to recall it pointed out that most illegal citizens aren’t the stereotype “poors” that are painted in this rhetoric, but are coming via plane and just aren’t documented legally.

    This is damage control.

Trump used a Hitler line in a prepared speech. The media pointed out the connection to Hitler. Then he used the exact same line again in another prepared speech.

Now the conservative media machine needs to help guide people on how to wave this away until after the election. What better way to do this than to demonstrate arguments that his supporters can make.

If people try to use these arguments, then ask them if they would have supported Hitler in 1938. If they say no, then ask them why they support someone who is saying the same things today. Don’t even give these arguments a shred of daylight.
