This effect is even bigger when you don’t have kids. I have a niece who went to college and became a dentist and has a kid of her own that is likely about the age of what I remember her being.
What is the last panel supposed to be?
The angel and devil that live in her mind
So, they are irrelevant to the joke/slice of life comic as far as I can tell?
I’m confused also.
Yeah I think they’re irrelevant in this one.
It’s a joke about the phrase “I blinked and they were grown up”
I keep thinking of my cousin as this tiny baby he was when I graduated high school. He’s in his mid-20s now.
Is this supposed to be funny? I don’t get it
The comic is sorta like a slice of life anime. Its basically a combination of diary of the artists life along with observations in a humorous way. The characters are her and her family but also thought characters mostly of the artist (although her husband has gotten at least a devil showing up once or twice) which has been slowly expanding. devil/angel/cavewoman/innerchild
My son got new clothes for school. they were a much needed as he grew out of his last set by a lot. and quickly. there’s multiple sets from his new clothes he didn’t get a chance to wear because he out grew them the next week. 11-13 he’s gonna go from being two feet shorter then me, to at least two inches taller. hes BLASTING through clothes. it’s very difficult to deal with.
