Conspiracy theories are so unhinged now. It used to be steel beams or Bohemian grove, but when my MiL talks about her theories now, they tend to involve red herring layers and everything under the sun.

For a long time, she believed Biden was actually run by Trump, like Biden was a puppet and Trump still ran the country. Yet, she would complain about Biden being the worst president.

These things didn’t make sense before, but we got the weirdos with the cork board showing all the connections. Now it’s shallow thinking in order to preserve a world view made entirely of “alternative facts.”
