A book I read claimed this is pretty much how it went down with the guy who discovered sperm. They claimed he did it with his wife and sprang from the bed because jacking off was frowned upon and of course he’d have to explain where he got the human semen from. Unfortunately a quick glance over some articles has me thinking that might’ve been heavy conjecture. Though it is confirmed that at one point he thought sperm were a stage of homunculus. There was debate at the time whether woman had anything to do with the formation of a baby other than carrying it lmao.
