Losing 9kg in under 24hr is uh…a lot. Even with massive diarrhea that’s nearly 20 pounds of weight. Can you even lose that much through dehydration and not die?

Didn’t the man who swam the English channel gain 10 kg because he would need to burn it during the activity or whatever?

Putting on weight for large swims is common and not only that but the amount in my comment was quoted from an article about swimming the English channel.

          But sure, gaslight me.

I am guessing here but It sounds like the not drinking part might be legal advice.

If here was in anyway operating the boat it’s be bad to admit that. Or if the operators of the boat where not keeping an eye on passengers it may cause them to look liable in some way. The story could just be a cover for a more mundane and real one that he’s not allowed to tell.

Since he fell off after drinking a few and winning an air guitar contest on a cruise ship, I’m going with him being a passenger, not an employee.

Bamboo is edible. Sort of. They put it in Chinese food sometimes. It’s awful and you have to pick it out, but I assume you can survive if you eat it.
