“After his 2021 arrest, Suresh reportedly told police that he believed the CEO of Hyatt Hotels “was a pedophile, that he wanted to kill him, that he was ‘hunting’ the CEO and had been for a while.”

This guy was either hardcore projecting or he was a victim early on. Either way, he just wanted an excuse to be a piece of shit.

Or else he wanted to kill someone, and decided that the child predator would be the safest victim because no one would have sympathy for him.

Unpopular opinion but I get the guy. Whenever I hear about victims and their trauma, I’m reminded about that one movie where a couple’s child is killed and so they somehow managed to kidnap who they thought was the killer and torture him in their basement. Everybody talks tough shit until it happens to them. I’m not saying he was right to take someone’s life but I get where he’s coming from. Not because I’ve been a victim but if you put me in front of a pedo or an abuser, I probably would want them to feel exactly what they did to their victims. Kind of like how a certain person who’s in a very powerful position right now is deflecting the reality of his involvement with trafficking. Just saying.

The problem is that he didn’t know whether the victim was actually guilty. And that guy in power whom you mention loves to call minorities pedos and similar, in the hope that crazy people like the one in the OP will act on it.

It is the modern witchcraft term, used in order to get people riled up for lynchings of innocent people, and fascists love that shit.
