I don’t think this is a good comparison…
Can you say for sure if capitalism causes egoism or vice versa? You can say smoke causes coughing, but coughing for sure doesn’t cause smoke.

i think of this whenever i see/hear well accepted phrases like “one man’s terrorist, is another man’s freedom fighter” or “greed is human nature”
